Young Alumni Council
The NC State Young Alumni Council is an advisory board dedicated to keeping young alumni engaged with NC State.
Member Responsibilities
- Act as a sounding board and resource to the NC State Alumni Association.
- Participate in council and intiative meetings, either in person or virtually.
- Serve as a role model for alumni engagement to students and recent graduates.
- Contribute to at least two initiatives.
- Assist in identifying and recruiting new volunteers while encouraging participation in alumni programming.
- Represent NC State on campus or within your local community.

Initiatives
Awards
This Awards Initiative is tasked with selecting the Alumni Association’s Outstanding Young Alumni Award and determining other opportunities to recognize young alumni. Nominations take place annually in March. If you know someone who is deserving of this award, nominate them.
Events
The Young Alumni Council focuses on three different event initiatives: Alumni In-Person, Alumni Virtual and Student. Have ideas for a future event? Let us know!
Mentorship
The Mentorship Initiative works to ensure students have an opportunity to connect with alumni through social and professional connections.
Philanthropy
The Philanthropy Initiative focuses on educating young alumni on the impact they can make and encouraging them to give back to NC State.

Recruitment
The Recruitment Initiative ensures the work of the Young Alumni Council continues with new and eager members. Recruitment takes place annually in January.
