As a result, you learn how organizations manage the flow of goods from suppliers to customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through this minor, you study how materials move into production facilities and transform into finished products. Then, you explore how companies distribute those products to customer markets. Therefore, you gain a clear understanding of modern supply chain systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This program uses a multidisciplinary approach to solving supply chain challenges. For example, you will study logistics, operations, network design and systems optimization. In addition, you will examine planning, scheduling and alternatives analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By completing this minor, you prepare for the global marketplace. Consequently, you develop a strong foundation for making informed decisions, improving production planning and reducing time to market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Minor in Supply Chain Engineering Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The program administrator oversees admission to the minor and certifies completion of the program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To apply, you must have a minimum 3.25 GPA and complete a short application form.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After admission, complete the minor form and create a Plan of Work. Then, list the required courses by semester.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>During each registration period, you must meet with the program administrator or a designee. This meeting confirms your progress.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You may not double count any required course in Group A toward both your departmental major and minor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You must complete all minor courses at NC State University.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In addition, you must earn a grade of C minus or higher in each minor course.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All minor courses must be taken for a letter grade.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Before graduation, the program administrator will verify that you completed all requirements.
