As director of creative services for the Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) at NC State University, he leads a dynamic team that functions as the department\u2019s art, marketing, and public relations hub. From graphic and web design to videography, photography, social media and media training, Lasson ensures that the faculty, staff and students shine like the rock stars they are.<\/p>\n<p>Lasson\u2019s career spans more than two decades in design, marketing and operations. Prior to NC State, he served as director of creative services at CompeteWell LLC, where he launched new departments in SEO, logo design and social media, growing sales in web design by an astonishing 4000%. He also founded Total Image Design, successfully building a web and logo design business from the ground up. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles in operations and marketing at Bunn, Inc. (Texaco Xpress Lube) and Bolton Corp., where he applied his creative and business acumen to drive growth, innovation and efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>Lasson\u2019s foundation in design comes from NC State University\u2019s School of Design, where he earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in product design, followed by a master\u2019s degree in industrial design with a minor in business management, graduating cum laude. He also holds executive training in digital marketing strategies from Kellogg Executive Education and a certification in social media management from NC State. During his time as a student, Rob was captain of the university\u2019s rugby team, demonstrating the leadership and teamwork skills that continue to define his career.<\/p>\n<p>A passionate storyteller and strategist, Rob has built his career around helping others succeed. Whether through compelling visuals, thoughtful messaging or creative campaigns, he thrives on making others\u2019 work shine.
