Later, Thompson stayed at NC State for graduate school and joined the Center for Additive Manufacturing and Logistics as a research assistant. In addition, he completed a custom master\u2019s program focused on additive manufacturing.<\/p>\n<p>During graduate school, Thompson interned at EOS headquarters in Germany. There, he studied post-processing and abrasive flow machining with partner company Extrude Hone. After graduation, Thompson joined EOS North America as a metal applications engineer. He trained customers, built parts and developed support structures across many industries. As a result, he built a strong technical foundation in additive manufacturing.<\/p>\n<p>Later, Thompson led the EOS North America metal research and development team. Then, he became a Senior Application Developer and focused on long-term customer projects.
