They have discovered that technology and entrepreneurial competitions are a source for new ideas. But the companies aren&#8217;t the only ones to benefit, so are the entrants. They receive recognition for their ideas, gain networking opportunities with potential employers and earn cash prizes.<\/p>\n<p>The MTConnect Student Challenge gave ISE grad student Shaurabh Kumar Singh a chance to showcase his engineering skills to over 114, 000 attendees of the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS).  Singh placed third in the Application Development Divison with his application \u201cReal-time Digital Verification of Product Manufacturing Data. He won a $5,000 prize.<\/p>\n<div class=\"row\">\nhttps:\/\/youtu.be\/QCmL9BPMLo0\n<\/div>\n<p>The Application Development Competition requires students to develop an application that demonstrates innovation and the use of manufacturing intelligence breakthroughs.
