Bio
Jeff Johnson built a successful career in the energy and energy trading industry over more than 40 years. Early in his career, he worked for Duke Energy in engineering, finance and corporate leadership roles. Later, Johnson moved into leadership positions in energy trading across North America and Europe. In addition, he served as senior vice president for several major energy companies, including EDF Trading and Louis Dreyfus.
Johnson also founded JWJ Energy LLC, where he provided strategic and merger consulting services. Moreover, he helped establish EDF Trading, a global energy trading company headquartered in London. During his career, Johnson led trading operations in Houston and Paris while supporting major international energy partnerships and joint ventures.
In addition, Johnson served on the Board of Visitors Executive Committee for Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment. There, he supported the development of the school’s Energy and Environment program. Throughout his career, Johnson combined engineering expertise with leadership and business strategy to drive growth in the global energy industry.
Johnson earned his Industrial Engineering degree from NC State University in 1978.
