Why our Ambassadors are Important to Us
At the ISE Department, student ambassadors play an important role in supporting both current and prospective students. Through their involvement, they help create a welcoming and informative environment for those exploring or entering the program. In addition, they serve as a reliable point of contact for questions about academics, student life and opportunities within the department.
Moreover, student ambassadors help prospective students understand what it means to study industrial and systems engineering at NC State. By sharing their experiences, they provide honest insights that help students make informed decisions. As a result, new students can feel more confident about choosing the program and starting their academic journey.
In addition, ambassadors support current students by offering guidance and encouragement. Whether they assist with transitions, answer questions or share resources, they help students stay connected and engaged. Therefore, they contribute to a stronger sense of community within the department.
Furthermore, they also develop valuable leadership and communication skills through their role. These experiences prepare them for future careers while strengthening the department’s student network. Overall, ambassadors play a key role in student success and in promoting the NC State ISE Department.
