To apply, you can complete the online COE Scholarship Application. By doing this, you will be considered for all COE scholarships through one application.
Alumni Scholarships
Alpha Pi Mu Kenneth D. and Wanda B. Franklin Scholarship
The Alpha Pi Mu Kenneth D. Franklin Outstanding Sophomore Award was established in 2006 by Kenneth D. and Wanda B. Franklin. This award recognizes the top-ranked sophomore in ISE with both a scholarship and an honor.
In addition, Franklin graduated from NC State in 1971 with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Notably, he was the first recipient of the Alpha Pi Mu Outstanding Sophomore Award.
John and Marian Andrews Family ISE Scholarship
Hugh Duncan Scholarship
The Hugh M. Duncan Endowed Scholarship was established on December 10, 1997. Duncan created this scholarship to support ISE students who demonstrate strong academic merit. In addition, he is an ISE alumnus who earned his BSIE degree in 1955.
Edward P. Fitts Scholars
The Edward P. Fitts Endowed Scholarship in Industrial Engineering was established on June 23, 1999. Fitts created this scholarship to support ISE students based on academic merit. In addition, he is an ISE alumnus who earned his BSIE degree in 1961.
Kenneth D. and Wanda B. Franklin Scholarship
The Kenneth D. and Wanda B. Franklin ISE Merit Scholarship Endowment was established in 2006 to benefit an ISE student in their junior/senior year who is the recipient of the Alpha Pi Mu Kenneth D. Franklin Outstanding Sophomore Award, demonstrates merit and financial need and is a resident of North Carolina.
Allen “Fred” and Beverly Gant Scholarship
The Allen “Fred” and Beverly J. Gant Endowed Scholarship was established on June 18, 1996. They created this scholarship to support ISE students who demonstrate strong academic merit. In addition, Gant is an NC State alumnus who earned a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering in 1971.

C.H. “Red” McCuen Scholarship
Arthur J. Meier Scholarship
David L. Montgomery Scholarship
Parnell Family Industrial Engineering Scholarship
Thomas D. and Tressa L. Pearson Scholarship
Thomas D. and Tressa L. Pearson created this scholarship to support students in the College of Engineering who demonstrate academic merit. In addition, preference is given to students in the Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering.
Moreover, Pearson is an NC State alumnus who earned a degree in Industrial Engineering, Furniture and Manufacturing Management in 1965.
