Bio

Jonathan Drum has worked in the area of applied ergonomics since 2005. He has focused on building ergonomics modeling and evaluation systems for the US Army, John Deere and Google. He has also served on the Ergonomics Center advisory board since 2020.

Drum is passionate about mentorship in the field of applied ergonomics. In addition to mentoring and coaching employees, he has worked with senior design teams and graduate students at NC State, Iowa State, Clemson and others on a variety of ergonomics and human factors design and research projects.

Beyond his professional work, Drum volunteers as a STEM instructor at York Elementary School, coaches flag football with the City of Raleigh Youth Sports Program and serves as a ruling elder at North Raleigh Presbyterian Church.
